Day of costumes.
Many delegations from across the country will be wearing local or regional traditional costumes—including those from Friesland, Groningen, and North and South Holland—and will join the parade.
For many, this is a chance to see the traditional costumes up close. The event will be accompanied by expert commentary. Nowhere else in the Netherlands does an event of this scale take place. The traditional costumes on display this year come from Scheveningen, Volendam, Hindeloopen, Friesland, Huizen, Rijssen, Nunspeet, and Enkhuizen.
